Let’s get the hockey pucks rolling already right? The sweet sounds of the greatest games on earth is almost here, and Philadelphia Flyers hockey is roaring back with a vengeance. It should be a great year for the orange and black, and this has the proud orange clad fans pumped. This year will be a year filled with the youth infusion 2.0, and this will hopefully propel the Flyers back to the playoffs.

The youth has been embraced by all players throughout the Flyers locker room. They have injected life back into some veterans. For instance, Claude Giroux stated in a recent interview I conducted with him, ” I think the youth have brought an element to the team. I think so. I think our guys…it’s a competitive camp right now, a lot of young legs. But, you know what we’re improving as a team everyday.” With that being said here is the news every Flyers fan has been waiting for…Flyers cuts.

Unfortunately, the proud orange clad fans of Philadelphia will not like the roster cuts after the game. Travis Sanheim and Oskar Lindblom are unfortunately on the outside looking in. Given the Defensive and Offensive pairings yesterday in practice, it is all but confirmed by General Manager Ron Hextall.

Lindblom has 1 goal, 1 assist, and a minus 1 in 4 pre-season games played. While Sanheim has 3 goals, 0 assists, and a plus 3 in 6 games played. Both of these players have outplayed both Matt Read and Andrew Macdonald.

Macdonald has 0 goals, 1 assist, and a plus/minus of 0 in 2 pre-season games played. While Read has 0 goals, 0 assists, and a minus 4 in 4 games played.
