The Eagles displayed their big play ability and the tenacity of the defense through 4 quarters in yesterdays win, with an adversity filled second half which in the end saw the eagles win 30-17 on the road. Here are the PSN NFL game balls which are given each week to those who stood out the most for the eagles.

Zach Ertz, TE –
Ertz was the guy to go to yesterday. The tight end was targeted 8 times and caught all 8 for 93 yards with a longest catch being for 23 yards. Ertz usually starts to build his momentum during the 4th quarter of the season, but this time he started early in what can only be a great sign for the Eagles. He seems much more fluid and active around the field and if he continues like this, Ertz should be on the way to a 1,000 yard season. In his last sixteen games, Ertz has eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark…but now can he tie it all together?

Jalen Mills, CB –
The scare of losing CB Ronald Darby was a blow for the eagles; it was also a chance for someone to step up. That would be the Green Goblin himself Jalen Mills. The former LSU standout had a tremendous game totaling 9 tackles, an interception, and 2 passes defensed. He smothered receivers all day and showed why he could one day become a pro bowl cornerback in this league

Carson Wentz, QB –
Wentzylvania is in full effect. I compared Wentz to Brett Favre coming out of college and this game shows why. Wentz showed the toughness and talent everyone raves about when he got loose on 3rd and 12 for a 58 yard bomb to Nelson Agholor. It let everyone know that the new era has arrived. He completed 26/39 completions throwing for 307 yards and 2 touchdowns with a 96.8 passer rating. He doesn’t fold under pressure as shown on so many big throws including the 58 yard touchdown to Agholor, the 23 yard throw to Ertz, or the 24 yard pass to Jeffrey. Wentz is a quarterback you will have to play 4 quarters against because he leaves it all on the field.

Brandon Graham, DE –
Brandon Graham just continues to be one of the best defensive players in the NFL. When people wanted to knock him and call him a bust, he continued to work…even playing linebacker in a different scheme! Now he starts the year at defensive end where he belongs and he showed his appreciation on the first game of the season. Graham had 4 tackles, 2 sacks, 3.5 TFL, and 2 QB hits including a forced fumble which Fletcher Cox returned for the game sealing touchdown. Graham was relentless all game showing just what type of season he is destined to have.
