Penn state has the juice now, after the Commitment of 4 star center Fredrick “Juice” Scruggs, Penn State remains in the top 3 in the 2018 recruiting class. Scruggs is a top 100 player by ESPN but also no.196 by 24/7 and 215 by scout. He is one of the top 3 centers in the country but the no.1 rated center in the east. An Ohio native but now living here in Erie, PA Scruggs was a big get for the lions, he adds strength to the position that is getting stronger. The big question is who is left and who is next, I will break it down for the WeAre nation.

With the commitments of Scruggs plus 3 star tackle Bryce Effner, 4 star tackle Antwan Reed, and high 4 star tackle NaNa Asiedu, Penn state also has a couple of good linemen left that are trending toward them; 6-8 290 massive Junior College standout tackle T.J. Bradley and 4 star tackle Rasheed walker. Bradley is rated a 3 star and the no.1 player out of Virginia and no 16th player out of Junior College by 24/7. Walker, who has been a favorite among Penn state fans, is rated 117 by 24/7 and 199 by Scout. He is a 4 star standing 6-6 300 with NFL talent. At any time you could see one of these guys commit, Scruggs was a surprise as he was looking like an Ohio State lean. Another lineman who is high on Penn state is 6-7 335 Qadir White who at this point is looking like a Syracuse lean but as you can see you never know what can happen.

I have talked about linemen Micah Parsons, Aeaneas Hawkins, Jayson Oweh, and PJ Mustipher, but the Lions also have other defensive linemen who hold them in high favor. High 4 star DE Eyabi Anoma an Alabama lean, high 4 star DT Tyler Friday which looks like a battle between Michigan and Rutgers, 4 star DT Alim Mcneill who is a Stanford lean, and 4 star DT Trevor trout that also holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, and LSU. Anyone of those recruits could do a Juice Scruggs and quickly commit to the Lions. Things change quickly in recruiting.

3 star Marcellus Earlington is also high on Penn state but Rutgers has been in the lead for his services lately, but as I have said before you never know. High 4 star cornerback Houston Griffith has Penn state in his top 7 which was released on June 14 and took a visit back in March to happy valley. He is another recruit to keep a close eye on, I rate him a top 3 cornerback talent in this class.

4 star safety Kwantel Raines is like family to Penn state, he is 6-3 200 and a talented playmaker, right now Pittsburgh and Florida are in contention with the Lions for his commitment. Raines and Griffith could easily right now decide on PSU with no surprise as they both hold Penn state in high favor.

One position I think Penn state will pick up one more commit from is the linebacker position. Recently, 3 star Brian Asamoah told me he will make his decision soon in what looks like a battle between Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Penn State. 3 star Isaak Togia also has an offer from the Lions along with Notre Dame and Texas A&M; the Lions could add other linebacker offers down the line.

We come down the wide receiver position and the Lions already have commits from 5 star Justin Shorter as well as 4 stars Daniel George and Shaquon Anderson-Butts. These 3 receivers along makes this an impressive haul for Penn state after adding KJ Hamler, Mic Hippenhammer, and Cameron Sullivan-Brown last year. There are two very talented receivers who both are predicted to choose the Lions.

6-4, dynamic talen,t 4 star Solomon Enis, son of Penn State great and former NFL running back Curtis Enis, is a Penn state lean. Enis is a threat to score every time he touches the ball; he is one of those players you can throw to when the game is on the line. Enis is from Arizona so Arizona state has been on him for a while and Oregon is also after him.

We come to another dynamic no.1 receiver talent, 4 star Jahan Dotson; A speedster who can burn you in seconds with ease. He is one of Pennsylvania’s own, a top 5 player in the state, the battle there is against Ohio state and Alabama.

Penn state has 21 commits now for the class of 2018 but I feel that will change after the upcoming season. I believe a certain prediction of 27 could happen as of now it looks like 25, last year transfers and player declaring for the draft opened up more sports for Penn state. One thing is for certain, it will be an impressive class in the end.
