For those fans that are missing a dose of Flyers hockey, you can now watch the AHL playoffs as a means of your medication. Things just got interesting for the AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Unexpectedly, Carter Hart will now serve as a back up goaltender to Alex Lyon. Anthony Stolarz will miss the next 3-4 months due to a lower body injury, so Hart will now take his spot in the lineup.

Hart was a second round selection in the 2016 NHL Draft. He is a highly touted prospect that the Flyers and fans alike are very high on.

The young phenom was called up from the WHL Everett Silvertips. He has played well for the Silvertips this season finishing the year with a 32-11-2 record, 1.99 GAA, and a .927 save percentage.

Fans first glimpse of Hart will be at the PPL Center on Friday night, as the puck drops in Game 1 of the best of 7 series at 7:05 pm against the rival Hershey Bears.
