The NFL unveiled their Pro Bowl rosters on Tuesday night and for Eagles fans, there’s good news. Both Jason Peters and Fletcher Cox have been selected for this year’s game.

Peters has now made nine Pro Bowls in his career and seven as an Eagle. This year’s selection sees Peters join Brian Dawkins and Reggie White for the second most Pro Bowls in Eagles history.

The 34-year old has been one of the only constants on a wounded Eagles Offensive Line and has helped the Offense average 113 rushing yards per game this year. Despite circumstances constantly changing and his future uncertain, the veteran has without a doubt been one of the bright spots on a very wobbly unit.

Fletcher Cox meanwhile has been selected for a second consecutive season. It’s been a quiet year statistically for the Franchise DT, who has recently surged in production. With 2.5 sacks in his last two games along with six tackles, it’s fair to say that Cox has exploded into life under Jim Schwartz.

Strangely, Brandon Graham and Rodney McLeod did not see their names listed on the NFC roster despite having huge season’s. Even so, it’s fantastic to see two Eagles named to the rosters.

The format of the Pro Bowl is set to revert back to an AFC vs NFC format after a strange trial that saw players drafted in recent years. The game takes place on January 29th and will air on ESPN at 8:00PM ET.
