Lane Johnson’s 10-game suspension upheld

Despite an eight hour appeal, Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson has officially been suspended ten games by the NFL for his second PED violation.

The suspension takes place from 4 PM E.T today and as a result, the tackle who was paid handsomely in the offseason will now lose all guaranteed remaining money on his contract, $25 million.

In his place, it looks as though rookie Halapoulivaati Vaitai will be taking the reins at right tackle as Barbre stays on the left hand side after an impressive season so far.

Johnson is eligible to return in the Eagles week 16 matchup against the New York Giants.

This is no doubt a huge blow to the Eagles and one that could have severe implications in the long run.
