While the Eagles have enjoyed an explosive start to the 2016 season, there is still one cloud that looms overhead..the pending suspension of Lane Jonhson. The Eagles right tackle appealed the decision today in a hearing that lasted close to eight hours, according to numerous sources. The result of the appeal hasn’t yet been finalized..although there is an interesting development.

With the arbitration pending, it’s most likely that Johnson will play at least one more game for the Eagles this season as his attorney Steve Zashin suggests, saying that “Lane will prepare and play as scheduled”.

With the rough timeframe appearing to be between a week/ a week and a half according to Les Bowen, we can expect to see Johnson suit up against Detroit this Sunday, while the official decision should be released sometime next week.

The news comes as short-term relief for Eagles fans, who have been fearing the suspension confirmation for weeks. The entire process has been extremely drawn out which does raise a few question marks, but all that matters is that it seems likely Johnson will be starting on Sunday.
