The Eagles have officially trimmed their roster to below the 75-man limit that the team needed to hit by Tuesday.

There are certainly some surprises here. As predicted by our writer Conor Myles earlier today, the Eagles have indeed parted ways with Reuben Randle. The birds also released Chris Givens which means that every free agent wide receiver to have signed with the team has now been released.
Last year’s undrafted rookie corner Denzel Rice has been cut following an inconsistent and disappointing preseason effort while second year defensive back Randall Evans failed to stand out in what is an extremely intense positional battle.
Andrew Gardner has been released, leaving the Eagles one lighter on the Offensive line. The versatility of rookies Isaac Seumalo and “Big V” could help fill the void in a position where depth is now a luxury.
Interestingly, Mike Martin has also been cut. The former Titans DT was slated to backup Logan and Cox ahead of the undrafted rookies.
Nick Perry, who was signed by the Eagles late on during the offseason has also been released due to an abundance of depth at the position.
John DePalma was competing with Magician Jon Dorenbos, but it appears as though the America’s Got Talent star can commit to both the Eagles and his Magic career.
Alex McCalister has also been placed on IR, freeing up a second roster spot if the Eagles wanted to add some depth elsewhere. With the roster now officially under 75, the birds have room to breathe, but there could still be some twists and turns ahead of the announcement of the final 53-man roster.
