It’s been an emotional few days for not just fans of the Philadelphia Union, but anyone associated with the team. Sebastien Le Toux has been traded to the Rapids and a new era is unfolding. But it’s going to seem very strange watching the Union walk out of the tunnel at Talen Energy Stadium and not seeing the team’s greatest player in Le Toux standing next to his teammates.

Sebastien Le Toux wasn’t just a player for the Union, he was a man who captivated the hearts of many and helped the team to find its identity. He was the team’s first hero..and he will undoubtedly be remembered as such regardless of how his future pans out.

I decided that writing a tribute to Le Toux wouldn’t do him justice (especially after Tim’s beautifully written ode earlier on.) So, I compiled a short video celebrating Le Toux’s time in Philadelphia.

I hope you enjoy it. Be sure to share this on social media with the hashtag #MerciSebastien..who knows, he may even come across this one day and shed a tear as I have many making this.
