Eagles waive Wide receiver Jonathan Krause

The Eagles roster is officially down to 87. The team announced earlier today that they have waived receiver Jonathan Krause.

The 24 year old caught two passes for eleven yards last season after being called up from the practice squad in the latter stages of 2015. A former teammate of Jordan Matthews at Vanderbilt, Krause spent time with the Patriots before his time in Philadelphia, earning praise from both Bill Belichick and Chip Kelly.

I actually posted an All-22 on Krause not too long ago in anticipation of a strong Training camp performance. Unfortunately, those hopes are no more.

With three open roster spots and selected veterans joining the rookies and quarterbacks for camp on Sunday, it would hardly be surprising to see the Eagles pick up a couple of extra camp bodies to fill out the roster. Only time will tell if that becomes the case.
