Last night we learned of the first candidate in the Eagles search for a “Director of Personnel” but it appears he may be one of many. According to Pro Football Rumors, former Cleveland Browns Executive Morocco Brown has actually interviewed for the position already.

Brown was named a candidate yesterday and according to Jason La Canfora interviewed for the position today.

Brown served in a very similar role for the Cleveland Browns but was fired in the opening weeks of January. He also worked as the “Director of Pro Personnel” in Washington between 2008 and 2013. Brown helped the Bears to a Conference Championship  and interned with the Colts when Peyton Manning was in his prime. Having had seven years in a role very similar to what the Eagles are interviewing for, it’s easy to see why he’s so high on their radar.

Brown has interviewed for GM roles in previous years and now finds himself interviewing for a hybrid version of the job. “Whenever you’re watching players, you’re looking for guys who are difference-makers,” he told The Daily Press two years ago. It appears he shares the same views as the rest of the Front Office, but will he be joining them?
