The Philadelphia Union have started to assemble this years avengers a day ahead of tomorrows MLS SuperDraft. The Union announced moments ago that they have signed Brazilian defender Anderson Conceicao on a one year loan deal from Tombense FC.

The 26 year old can reportedly play in both CB or LB positions which is great for a Union side who are fairly light on both at the moment. After playing for America Mineiro last season and winning them promotion to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the defender now sets his sights on the MLS.

His experience doesn’t end there however. Back in 2012, he played for RCD Mallorca in the BBVA in all 19 of their matches including two Copa Del Rey fixtures.

It’s good to see the Union bolstering their roster as the new season approaches and by bringing in someone who even analysts and fans were left researching to find out more, it definitely suggests that there is a change happening in Philadelphia. Earnie Stewart has made his presence known and by bringing in some new talent including Restrepo and now Conceiao, this should be a sign of brighter times ahead.

We have trawled the internet for this very interesting highlight video..Conceicao seems to be a very physical defender who isn’t afraid to stamp his authority over those who like to dance with the ball.
