Three bold predictions for Bills vs Eagles

Last week the Eagles caused an upset that nobody predicted…nobody except us. We were the ONLY site (including BGN, ESPN etc) to not only predict the win but also predict Bradford’s two touchdowns and zero interceptions seeing our record this season rise to 9-3. Will this be our 10th week of correct bold predictions? Let’s find out, here are our three hot bold predictions for the Eagles’ game against the Bills this Sunday.

Beat the streak:
This game was always going to be dominated by McCoy headlines and there has been no shortage of stories surrounding the former Eagle. McCoy rolls into Philly with five games running in which he has over 100 total Offensive yards..our first bold prediction? The Eagles stop the streak.

The Eagles run Defense has been shaky in recent weeks and with doubts over the form of Kiko Alonso, the Bills will be looking to exploit this to its fullest potential. The bad news for Rex Ryan however is that every single Eagles player on the active roster is healthy..meaning that both Cedric Thornton and Bennie Logan are back to 100%..not good news if you’re a Bills fan.

Not only that, but the Bills could well be overlooking one of the Eagles’ most prolific run stoppers….Malcolm Jenkins. His read of the game is unparalleled and over the course of the season he has made some exceptional plays, stopping a run before its even started at times. We’re predicting McCoy will be held to under 100 yards and under 2.5 touchdowns.

The second coming:
Sam Bradford has come on leaps and bounds since his first game in an Eagles jersey and hasn’t thrown an interception in his last three games as well as having a passer rating of over 99 in his last three for the first time in his career. His reads are better, the accuracy is as good as it ever has been, he seems more confident and most importantly the receivers are finally helping him out.

Bradford may not have been a statistical stand-out against the Patriots but as we noted in a previous article, he played a large part in the teams win. This game, we’re again predicting two touchdowns from Sammy B as well as 0 interceptions and for the third time this season…300 yards.

The Bills are ranked 23 against the Pass and despite having 12 interceptions this season, now face an elusive core high on confidence. With the Tight-Ends seemingly becoming more and more important, Rex Ryan will have his hands full..not to mention the numerous ways Chip is likely to implement Ryan Mathews through the air on his return.

Confident, fired up and finally performing efficiently, this Eagles Offense is looking better and better each game Bradford is at the helm..with all of the jigsaw pieces back on the table, it’s time to fit them together and see what it can really do.

No Phly Zone
Tyrod Taylor has been a force to be reckoned with this season and has definitely changed the overall perception people have about him. Taylor has become a dual threat QB with over 300 rushing yards, 2000 through the air and 17 touchdowns to his name. But what makes him so dangerous? His ball protection.

Taylor has thrown just four interceptions all season and hasn’t thrown a single interception since week 4..our final bold prediction? Billy Davis finds a way to break a second streak and force Taylor into an interception and hold him to under 200 yards of total Offense.

This is an Eagles Defense that forced Tom Brady into two vital interceptions just one week ago and a Secondary that has recorded 14 interceptions this season. After a short dry spell, the Eagles came out all guns blazing against the Pats and shut a lot of people up. Rookie Eric Rowe showed no signs of inexperience whilst Malcolm Jenkins continued to be a terror all over the field.

The Bills have some big Offensive weapons and the Eagles will be tested yet again, but it’s a challenge they are more than capable of overcoming. This Defense proved to be one of the best secondaries in the league and at one stage both Jenkins and Thurmond were ranked in the top 5 Safeties in the NFL. It’s time to reclaim that reputation and shut down one of the most consistent Quarterbacks in the league to help guide the Eagles to a much needed win at the Linc.
