A lot can be said about the refereeing in last night’s season opener and not much of it good. There were more penalties than there were band wagon Seahawks fans jumping ship after Sunday and some extremely questionable calls. This was probably the most controversial alongside the Kiko Alonso play.
Jordan Mathews sprinted down the touchdown late on to put the Eagles ahead only for it to be ruled out of bounds. It was a decision that potentially cost the Eagles a victory. Again, you can’t blame this one decision ad the loss was a culmination of plenty of issues throughout the team and referees..but this certainly didn’t help. Upon further inspection we can safely say that was a terrible call by the refs.
