Everything you need to know about the Eagles Super Bowl rings and how you can buy your own

So, the Eagles had a special ceremony last night to celebrate a minor feat they accomplished recently. You know, that really tiny achievement everybody has forgotten about? In case you’ve forgotten, THE EAGLES ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS. To celebrate this, the team were finally given their championship rings n an event that saw the championship winning roster united once more.

While we could spend all day discussing outfits and how sharp everybody looked, the main attraction was obviously this beauty.

Here’s all you need to know about this masterpiece, courtesy of the Eagles press release.

The ring is made of 10-karat white gold and features 219 diamonds and 17 genuine green sapphires with a total weight of 9.15 carats. The rare rough green sapphires were secured to match the official team color.

Fifty-two pavé-set diamonds are set within the Eagle head, signifying Super Bowl LII.  The bottom portion of the base of the trophy features 13 pavé-set diamonds representing the franchise-record tying 13 regular season victories.

The top of the trophy is adorned with three diamonds, representing not only the number of times the Eagles were deemed underdogs, but also the number of post-season victories it took to be crowned World Champions.

The bezel of the ring features a waterfall of 127 diamonds, paying tribute to one of the most memorable moments in franchise history – “The Philly Special” – the trick play that resulted in a touchdown on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line in Super Bowl LII. If you add the jersey numbers of the three key players who made the historic moment magical, Corey Clement (30), Nick Foles (9), and Trey Burton (88), you reach 127.

Four green sapphires sit at the base of the ring to represent the team’s four world championships and Super Bowl win.

The left side of the ring features the player’s name above a representation of Lincoln Financial Field, paying tribute to the passionate fans.

The right side of the ring is my favorite. Not only does it remind the players of the score, but features that iconic phrase ‘WE ALL WE GOT, WE ALL WE NEED”, with the word ‘FAMILY’ underneath the Super Bowl logo.

Other minor details include an engraving of the underdog mask and the phrase ‘FLY EAGLES FLY’.

If this didn’t make you shed a tear, I don’t know what will.

The good news is that you can actually purchase your own version of this ring.

“The bond we share with our fans means everything to us,” said Eagles President Don Smolenski. “They inspire us every day and it is our privilege to share this jewelry collection, which has been created exclusively for Eagles fans everywhere.”

The limited-edition ‘127’ ring pays tribute to one of the most iconic moments in franchise history – The Philly Special. The Limited-Edition World Championship Fan Ring will be sold exclusively at www.jostens.com/eagles.
