An old friend of the Flyers continues to troll them after another tough playoff loss

Will the consistent Philadelphia Flyers show up this season? The proud orange clad fans packed the Wells Fargo Center Sunday with the hopes of seeing their beloved team take control of the playoff series with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Unfortunately, the Flyers took too many penalties, and just aren’t receiving the help that is needed from their veterans corps in Sean Couturier, Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, Wayne Simmonds and Valtteri Filppula.

Let’s give Couturier a little break here, as he played over 26 minutes yesterday. Mainly due to the fact the Flyers couldn’t stay out of the box. Oh yea Brian Elliott wasn’t horrible yesterday, but he didn’t make that save like he did on Friday night in the Flyers 5-1 victory in Pittsburgh. Things couldn’t get much worse could it??? Unfortunately, the Flyers old friend in Ilya Bryzgalov has continued to troll the orange and black.

Are you serious Bryz???? Thanks for coming to the game, but you have to be kidding me. Bryzgalov sure wasn’t lights out in a Flyers uniform. For his career as a Flyer, Bryzgalov ended with a career 2.63 GAA, and a dismal .904 Save Percentage. Yes, this is funny that he keeps trolling the Flyers, but this should really rally the troops for a complete effort on Wednesday night.

The Flyers can even the series with a complete effort. I’ll say it again a complete 60 minute effort. They need their veterans in Giroux, Voracek, Couturier, Simmonds, Filppula, and Elliott to step up. The majority of the young guns have played well with their first taste of the NHL playoffs. This can be our time. Let’s show Bryzgalov who we really are, and come out with a, “Humongous Universe,” effort the rest of the series.
