1st Period Notes:
Provorov fires a bomb from the point just 2 and a half minutes into the game but Vasilevskiy is up to the task early. Philadelphia looks sharp to start the game.

Flyers lead in shots 7-1 after the first 10 minutes of play. Konecny managed to give himself a breakaway just before the halfway mark of the period but couldn’t solve Vasilevskiy.

The Flyers first line has looked great all throughout this 1st period. Making crisp passes and bringing a lot of energy. Haven’t been able to get anything done with their pressure though. Plenty of energy from the entire team.

Raffl is called for a hooking penalty with 1:46 remaining in the period. They fend off Tampa Bay’s 4th ranked powerplay and escape the period tied at 0 with a 9-3 lead in shots.

2nd Period Notes:
Brayden Point makes a nice move in front of Neuvirth and squeezes one past him. 1-0 Tampa Bay just 25 seconds into the 2nd period.

Flyers look sloppy through the first 5 minutes of the period.

Johnson is called for interference on Filppula. Philadelphia manages a few chances on the PP despite some more sloppy play but can’t find the back of the net.

Gourde capitalized on some chaos in front of Neuvirth and slams home a goal with just over 10 minutes remaining in the period. Flyers still lead 15-9 in shots and in hits 15-7.

Filppula is robbed by Vasilevskiy with 4:27 remaining in the period. He deflected a Gudas point shot but Tampa Bay’s goaltender has been perfect to this point.

Girardi is called for cross-checking with just over 3 minutes remaining in the 2nd. More sloppiness leads to a beautiful shorthanded goal from Ryan Callahan just seconds into the Flyers PP.

3rd Period Notes:
Alex Killorn is called for slashing on Giroux just over 5 minutes into the 3rd period. Vasilevskiy makes some miraculous saves and single-handedly kills the Flyers powerplay.

Philadelphia’s sloppy play continues through the first half of the period.

Namestnikov called for a penalty just as the Lightning were about to go on a breakaway. Hakstol pulls Neuvirth during the PP with more than 7 minutes left and Konecny scores.

Namestnikov rips home a beautiful cross-crease pass less than a minute later and kills whatever momentum the Flyers built on their goal.

Namestnikov scores again with just under 3 minutes remaining and this one starts to get out of hand. 5-1 Bolts.
