It was an exciting first half in London, even if things started a little sloppy. Here are some quick hitters as the teams head into the break.
Hawkeye:
J.J Redick has been electric. Firing threes at an alarming rate, Redick has 18 points going into the half along with 3 rebounds and an assist. Going 4/6 from beyond the arc, the veteran’s mechanical excellence was a huge reason behind the hot start.
Battle of the rookies:
So far, there’s only been one winner and that’s Ben Simmons. With 12 points and 3 assists himself, Simmons has been dazzling the London fans inside the paint, while Mr Tatum hasn’t had such a fun night, scoring just 2 points.
JoJo?
Embiid’s night has also been a little slow. Matched up against Banes for most of it so far, Embiid has done little damage to the Celtics backcourt. The good news is he hasn’t really had to thanks to some excellent shooting from the perimeter, but it would be nice to see a breakout.
It’s happening again:
Leading by 22 at one point, the Sixers now have a 9 point lead going into the half. Hold your breath Sixers fans, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
