“Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la la la la!..’Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la la la la! Don we now our gay apparel, Fa la la la la la la la!..Troll the ancient Yuletide carol, Fa la la la la la la la!,” No this isn’t a time for Christmas caroling. There’s business to be done and the Philadelphia Flyers are currently doing that on the ice.

The Flyers are riding high once again, after their six game winning came to a halt Monday night against the Los Angeles Kings. With a 4-3 grinding win of the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night. The orange and black have now won the past seven out of eight games. They just seem like a confident bunch these days for the most part, and with the exception for the Kings game they are getting some really good goaltending. It’s great to see the passion and the feeling of playoff hockey hopefully around the corner. Without further delay here are our answers to your questions.

Kerry you’re one of the most dedicated flyer fans that I know. I hope you and your family have a great holiday. A train from New York to LA takes 2 days and 20 hours. Moreover, a train from DC to LA takes 2 days and 19 hours.

With that being said, if a train from New York leaves a half hour before the DC train for La of course. The DC train will arrive a half hour before the New York train. That is of course if the speeds of the trains are the same. Thanks so much for the question. I loved it this was a pretty difficult one, but we all need this type of sense of humor sometimes.

Brian Geese- At what point will Brian Elliot need rest? He’s been playing every game. With Neuvirth hurt how should the Flyers manage Elliot to keep him from burning out.

Brian your knowledge of the Flyers is insane. Your hockey IQ is off the charts. Elliott needs to rest soon. I’m hoping that Alex Lyon will be tabbed as the starter tomorrow night against the Columbus Blue Jackets, as Elliott is the confirmed starter tonight against the Buffalo Sabres. General manager Ron Hextall stated yesterday that Michal Neuvirth will not play this weekend. Moreover, Elliott would need an oxygen mask on the ice if he starts his eleventh straight game. It’s just not a good balance this early in the season to wear out your starting goaltender.

Everyone knows injuries happen. That’s why you have a back-up plan. Elliott has been rock solid for the most part, and to me he is one of the unsung heroes for the first half of the Flyers season.

Kyle…your knowledge of the Flyers shows with each post. You’re a diehard Flyers fan, and I agree with you on Travis Konecny. He’s very inconsistent. One game he looks solid and has an edge to his game. The next not so much. I think it has to do with his confidence level. For instance, when he was benched in the third period of the 3-0 loss to the Boston Bruins. Honestly, he was one of their better forwards on the afternoon. Two games later he looked lost. I still have faith in this kid, and playing on the fourth line with Taylor Leier (Hope he’s back from injury tonight), and Scott Laughton. These three have chemistry together, and I think he will move in the right direction in the second half of the season.
