The Eagles have released their first official injury report of the week and once again, the team remain one of the healthiest teams in the league with the exception of a few heartbreaking season-ending injuries.

The big news is that rookie kicker Jake Elliott was on the practice field. Although still in concussion protocol, the signs are encouraging for Elliott, who sustained a head injury on Sunday night. “We’ll take it day-by-day with him and we’re hoping, but at the same time, we have to have a backup plan if that doesn’t come true.” Doug Peterson said on Wednesday. “But as of right now, everything is looking good for him where he’s at right now, but we’re going to still — and listen, he’ll be out at practice today, just so we clear that up. He will be out there at practice. Part of the protocol is he can be out there. So he is getting better and it’s still monitor [him] day by day.”

Beau Allen missed practice today due to a knee injury. Destiny Vaeao’s return several weeks ago has helped re-enforce the defensive tackle rotation, but the Eagles do have some emergency options on the practice squad if needed, with rookie Elijah Qualls also ready to drop in at a moments notice.

Trey Burton and Rodney McLeod were also limited participants today, although their presence on the practice field was a positive sign.
