The Philadelphia Flyers was suffering from the injury bug the past few weeks. Like most teams they had to overcome adversity. Moreover, the way this young Flyers team has overcome this type of adversity in the early going has been quite impressive. The orange and black currently sit with a record of 8-8-3, but are only 6 points out of first place. Let’s not forget they only sit 2 points out of the last wild card spot.

With the Flyers finally almost back to full strength, the orange and black are looking to become a more consistent team. What’s even more impressive about this club is that they have only allowed 51 goals in the Eastern Conference. A stat that’s good enough tied for third fewest goals allowed. These are just a few reasons to become optimistic about this club. With that being said, let’s follow a Friday tradition of posting our answers to our Weekly Flyers Mailbag straight from the fans.

Cowboy as always its a pleasure hear from you. Coming from a dedicated fan I can understand your frustration with the offense in your voice. Well, I have some opinions that I hope will come to fruition. One solution to the struggling offense is moving a hard-working Taylor Leier to the second line. If not Leier, then Michael Raffl will do.

1st Line:

Giroux, Couturier, Voracek

2nd Line:

Leier/Raffl, Filppula, Simmonds

Third Line:

Weal, Patrick, Konecny

Fourth Line:

Weise, Laughton, Raffl/Leier

Unfortunately, one line that has to suffer are the “Honey Bees.” They have been really good, and don’t deserve to be broken up. However, the Flyers offense is struggling from a middle six that is struggling. Struggling to finding the right line chemistry.

Barry your one of the most passionate Flyers fans that I know. I absolutely love Jaromir Jagr. He’s a class act, and an even better player. Currently, Jagr has 1 goal, 4 assists, and is a plus 4 in 9 games played for the Calgary Flames. Honestly, I can’t wait to play them on Saturday night. Let’s go Flyers.
