Just one day after Carson Wentz was named the NFC’s Offensive player of the week, Eagles Defensive Tackle Fletcher Cox has been named NFC Defensive player of the month.

Cox has racked up 11 tackles, 3 sacks and forced a fumble in his opening 3 games, exploding into life against the Steelers. Despite a slow start due to being double and triple teamed at times, Cox already has 14 tackles  to his name.

A strip sack on Big Ben saw the dominance of Cox become a major factor once again..something that’s only going to continue against the Lions.

The accolades are mounting up for the Eagles under Doug Pederson, but there are still a couple more to be handed out..including rookie of the week for which both Carson Wentz and Wendell Smallwood have been nominated.
